As promised, we continue to add more of the in-demand products that you are asking for to our lineup of stone and landscaping materials. Starting immediately Stone Distributors now has Screened Topsoil and Clean Fill Dirt available for you to purchase right here on our 5-acre lot.
What are Screened Topsoil and Clean Fill Dirt?
For those of you who are unfamiliar with these terms, let’s define them:
Screened Topsoil – Topsoil is one of the two main types of dirt used when working on a landscaping project. Screened Topsoil is dirt that has been excavated from a particular site and then screened or sifted to remove various debris including rocks, sticks, roots, and clumps of dirt. Gardeners prefer to use Screened Topsoil for their planting and grass seeding in combination with potting soil or compost because it is loose and therefore easy to work with and optimal for drainage.
Clean Fill Dirt – The other main type of dirt used when working on a landscaping project is called Fill Dirt. Unlike Topsoil, Fill Dirt contains additional earth materials including sand, clay, broken down rocks and other organic matter. Landscapers and Gardeners alike choose Fill Dirt because it tends to be more stable than Topsoil, so it is a better filler than Topsoil. Clean Fill Dirt is Fill Dirt that does not contain large debris, organic matter or toxins.
We now have both of these types of dirt available for you to purchase at Stone Distributors. Our first shipment of Screened Topsoil arrived on our 5-acre lot on Thursday, while our initial shipment of Clean Fill Dirt will be here early this coming week.
