In this 3rd and concluding article of this 3-part series, we highlight three more projects for next year that you should be starting your prep work on right now.
In the 2nd article of this series we discussed 3 large projects around your property often incorporating stone that you want to start now for next year. why now is actually a great time to start making your plans and taking the initial steps for your stone and landscaping projects that you want to execute next spring and summer. To recap, the projects we discussed included: 1) Installing a pool and/or pool deck; 2) Building an Outdoor Kitchen; and 3) Constructing an Patio.
Here are 3 more stone/landscape projects that if you are contemplating for next year you should get started on now before the end of this year:
- Putting boulders and other accents into your gardens or flower bed.
Here is a good rule of thumb for you: when you plan out a garden, flower or stone bed always start with what stone and other materials you will be using as the centerpiece or accents for that bed. You will find the implementation of your plan goes more smoothly.
- A stone wall or decorative retaining wall(s)
If you are not sure what we are referring to, just look at these pictures from the front of our building for inspiration.
- Any mid-level to large scale project.
Now is the time to start planning it. If for no other reason because NOW is the time to line up a contractor. Trust us, the most sought-after contractors get booked up for most of next spring and summer by the end of this winter. The days slip by quickly, and if you get to March or even February you will find getting a contractor for the time frame you want can become almost impossible.
