Throughout our area of northern Georgia schools have started, either last week or this week. And although we are at that time when it still feels like summer may never end, Fall is in fact right around the corner. With the coming of fall the temperatures get cooler and crisper, the days get shorter, and it means one other rite of passage is on its way: Football!
Around here at Stone Distributors we love to combine our love for football with our support for our local community as for the 2nd year in a row we are donating a significant amount of our time and effort to assisting the Acworth Warriors Football and Cheerleading Association (AFCA), a youth-based non-profit organization. This year, our owner Mike has taken it a step further as he is volunteering as an Assistant Coach for the team, in addition to being a Gold Sponsor.
AFCA explains its mission on its website:
“AFCA is a 501(c)(3) All volunteer organization that develops the next generation of leaders in our community by providing competitive and instructional football and cheerleading opportunities for children between the ages of three and twelve.
“We have a history of success on the field and it begins with quality experienced coaching at all age groups.
