A new periodic feature that we are adding to our Stone Distributors’ blog series in 2021 is articles highlighting the amazing projects of some of our best contractor affiliates. This series will bring to life the reasons why choosing a professional contractor to install many of your stone and landscaping projects will be your preferred path of choice.
In this initial article we are sharing with you a series of during and after photos of a back patio job installed by Southern Landscapes, a well-known local company owned by Lee Borden. The following photo series shows the steps that Lee’s guys go through to prepare the area, install the product used (in this instance Belgard Pavers™) and then the final result.
We believe you should pay particular attention to the obviously high level of professionalism and workmanship that Southern Landscapes puts into this job. One of the pictures highlights the importance of making sure the ground area that the pavers are being laid upon is as close to completely level as possible. You can see the importance of that exacting prep work in the finished job. The patio is perfectly flat.
As mentioned the product used in this job are known as Belgard Pavers™. For those of you who don’t know, Belgard Pavers are a pre-fabricated concrete pavers created in a specialized manufacturing plant by the company Belgard. They are considered an alternative to natural stone.
We recently started to carry the Belgard Pavers™ on our yard. Unfortunately, if you have been at our yard during the last 9 to 12 months you rarely saw them in stock as they have been back ordered much of the time. Please keep this in mind as the wait times for these pavers has been extended (4 to 6 months or even longer) since early 2020.
In addition, note that in many cases you find that natural stone is cheaper than the Belgard Pavers™ highlighted in this article. But if it is the Pavers that you ultimately decide upon for your patio, deck, fireplace, fire pit or wall then we are happy to supply them to you and your contractor.
