First of all, Happy Father’s Day tomorrow to all of you awesome fathers out there!
When you walk onto our lot looking for Rubble Strips (the rectangular-shaped edging stones) to be used in your stone projects we know that you want the best Rubble Strips not only on our lot, but in all of Georgia. You want Rubble Strips that not only have the best color, but also the best consistency.
What if we were to tell you that at Stone Distributors we have Rubble Strips (special from Oklahoma) that not only give you the best color and consistency, but are also the easiest for you and/or your contractor to work with? And you can get all of that for only 3 cents more a pound than the usual Rubble Strips. You would want to come on our lot today and get yours today, right? Indeed you would.
Today we are officially introducing you to the Canyon Creek Blue-Gray Rubble Strips from Oklahoma! We just received these onto our lot within the last 1 to 2 months, first time ever. You may recall that last year we had the Brown, earth-toned Canyon Creek Rubble Strips on our lot. They were our most popular selling brownish variety of Rubble Strips last season.
This year we are fortunate enough that the same Canyon Creek quarry in Oklahoma has reached their Blue-Gray vein. Not only has it produced some beautiful Flagstone that we have in stock, but also these superior Rubble Strips.
What makes the Canyon Creek Rubble Strips from Oklahoma better? These 3 things:
- THE LOOK – The quality of the color of these Rubble Strips is a deeper, richer blue-gray that is the same throughout each Rubble Strip. Put it up against the others and the color stands out. Just look at this picture and you can see what we mean.
- THE CONSISTENCY – The consistency of each stone is better. What does that mean? It means that each stone is 4” thick almost all the time. Compare that to the Crab Orchard variety of Rubble Strips. They can vary from 4” to 8” thick… That might not sound like a big difference, until you get to digging the holes for placing them. Then you realize it is a BIG DEAL. Both in more time and trying to get the depth of your holes right to get the Strips to line up correctly. Which leads directly to the #3 reason:
- EASE OF INSTALLATION – Yes, the Canyon Creek Blue-Gray Rubble Strips cost more to purchase (3 cents more per pound). But as any contractor will tell you, a significant portion of that extra cost for the stones will be offset by the less time it takes to dig the holes to put the stones in, and then get them to align correctly once they are in place.
BOTTOM LINE: The Canyon Creek Blue-Gray Rubble Strip from Oklahoma is the best Rubble Strip on the market here in Georgia at this time. These are the Rubble Strips that you want edging your outdoor landscaping projects including patios, walkways, flower beds and water features, and/or in your indoor and outdoor walls. At Stone Distributors we believe their extra cost (3 cents a pound, which equates to only $60 per ton) is more than offset by their superior look, consistency and easier installation.
